業務内容

We are focused on design and development of next generation firmware architecture and algorithms to deliver high performance and cost-efficient enterprise Hard Disk Drive (eHDD) products. As part of the globally diverse R&D team, you will be working in an Agile development environment with opportunity to learn and grow in multiple disciplines. We want our firmware engineers to be enthusiastic, creative and adaptive in taking on problems, because they are empowered to think and act like owners. We’re looking for Firmware integration engineer who is responsible for Product Firmware delivering, this position needs to work various HDD development department closely.

<Main Responsibilities>

• Collaborate Firmware development team and other HDD developments team for delivering product firmware.
• Integrate the functions to be implemented and oversee the operation verification work for the firmware release.
• Coordinate with relevant departments for production and failure analysis of problems that occur on the prototype production line.
• Triage issues that are found in customer environments
• Participate in planning and coordinating significant technical investigations.

<Required experience, qualifications, skills, and attitude>

• Undergraduate degree or above
• Experience in integrating and verifying implementation functions in software development (3 years or more)
• (For second-time new graduates: experience in research at a university or graduate school or software development at a company)
• Those who have no problem using English (Recommendation: TOEIC score of 500 or above)
• * No practical experience is required, but reading and writing skills are essential for the job and will be used in specifications/emails, etc.
• Japanese Business Level or above
• Possess advanced problem-solving skills, are solution-oriented, proactive and have the ability to execute.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
• You are comfortable and enjoy working in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment.
• You enjoy a challenge, celebrate successes and will be a fun and enthusiastic teammate.

<Desirable skills>

• Ability to negotiate with various parties involved
• Embedded software development experience
• Development experience using C/C++/Python is a plus
• Agile software development experience
• Microcontroller (ARM/ARC), RTOS knowledge
• SAS/SATA interface knowledge
• Experience using bus analyzers and emulators
• Data analytics skills such as machine learning
• Business level English conversation skills
• Willing to learn new firmware, systems, tools, etc.
