Responsibilities

Application engineer supports customer HVM production and help performance improvement via application products/knowledge
Main responsibilities:

• High Volume Manufacturing: sustain install base machine for on product escalations, maximize wafer output
• Able to understand customer needs, align clear problem description with customer, on product trouble shooting under time pressure condition
• Take ownership and initiative, required prompt response
• Lead escalation and communication with internal experts internally, and act as customer interface
• Collaborate across departments for smooth trouble shooting
• Stakeholder management for technical topics
• Problem solving mindset
• Support DUV, YS, VCP

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• More than 2 yrs experience in semiconductor industry
• Flexibility and quick response is required for HVM maturation. You should be aware of cost of ownership, and maximize value of company product.
• Describe clear problem description including customer use case
• Able to create user friendly technical document using common words (not company specific term)
• Trouble shooting skill, data analysis skill, excel, power point
• Basic project management skill
• English requirements: TOEIC 600 +, daily conversation level
• English presentation, communication skill to lead technical conversation internally, and externally
• Japanese skill JLPT N2, daily conversation level
• Lead technical conversation by Japanese in customer meeting
• Onsite support, off hour support, and occasional clean room work will be required for this job.

Preferred qualifications:

• Programing (MATLAB)
• Mandarin
