Responsibilities
Reporting to the Global IT Office of the CIO Lead, the IT Strategy & Performance Lead is responsible for the continuous development and revision of the IT Strategy to ensure alignment with Business goals and priorities. As a focus, they will deliver the performance management framework and processes for the Global IT organization which provide the IT Leadership Team, the IT functions and senior stakeholders / management boards across the divisions with the right insight, information and analytics to improve IT’s organizational Performance. They drive the implementation of performance management and manage the regular performance monitoring and reporting across the overall Global IT organization. They also manage analyzing performance gaps, deriving actionable insights into efficiencies and improvement opportunities in the IT and the Business, and drive the continuous evolution of framework, processes and reporting, in line with IT and company strategic priorities.Main responsibilities:
  • IT Strategy and IT Transformation
    • Work closely with the Office of the CIO Lead and IT Leadership Team to develop and build consensus for a consolidated IT Strategy and IT Roadmap for the Global IT organization.
    • Help coordinate the successful scoping of transformation initiatives in the new Global IT organization.
    • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for change; propose and embed transformation initiatives into the IT Strategy that will further enable the Global IT organization to perform efficiently and effectively.
  • IT Performance Management
    • Develop and maintain the comprehensive IT performance management framework, structure and setup for the Global IT organization which connects all layers of the IT function from CIO to individual functional sub-teams, as well as the IT regions.
    • Align the IT performance management with key stakeholders (IT Leadership Team members, IT functions, stakeholders within business divisions) in terms of requirements, strategy alignment, design, value, and implementation steps.
    • Manage the establishment of the structure and logic of the framework, its Global IT’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and SLAs, and provide oversight on defining KPI/performance metrics, and how to measure them in terms of data requirements and sources.
    • Lead the implementation of the regular IT performance monitoring and reporting towards stakeholders.
    • Lead the analysis of IT performance gaps, coordinate with IT functions in understanding them, and define action plans where Global IT organization KPI’s and SLAs are not being met
    • Derive actionable insights into efficiencies and improvement opportunities in the IT and the Business
    • Drive an improved tooling and implementation of automation in the performance management in coordination with IT delivery functions.
  • People Management
    • Lead, motivate, develop, and appraise team members so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the IT as Senior IT Consultant, in the Office of a CIO, as Senior Subject Matter Expert in IT, or in a related position
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT performance management / performance analysis of an IT organization, or a related data-oriented position
  • Proven experience in IT strategy definition and building IT transformation roadmaps
  • Expert knowledge of technology solutions and technical capabilities as well as IT operations, people, and processes.
  • Experience in the Medical industry, either in a Consulting Company or directly in a Life Science Healthcare Company preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing staff, including work review, performance reviews and day-to-day coaching.
  • Experience in successfully managing teams and Executive stakeholders in multiple geographies.
  • Proficiency in Japanese at an intermediate business level or higher
  • Very good written and spoken English skills.
  • Demonstrable excellent stakeholder management, relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Demonstrable technical communication.
