We are advancing the project to realize trunk transportation services with autonomous trucks, combining the comprehensive power of a major Japanese trading company with AI technology.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a production planner for self-driving trucks, which aims to realize trunk line transportation with self-driving trucks and to support the logistics of Japan. You will be in charge of preparing development and business vehicles for the market expansion of transportation services using self-driving truck technology.
Main responsibilities:

• Based on the business plan, collaborate with other departments such as technology development, purchasing and procurement to research and select contractors for modifying autonomous vehicles.
• Based on the business plan and communication with vehicle and body manufacturers, we will coordinate with other departments such as technology development and logistics planning to formulate a production plan for autonomous trucks.
• Purchasing services such as outsourcing the modification of autonomous vehicles based on production plans, etc.

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• Experience in production preparation and production management
• Communication skills to build good relationships with internal departments and external partners
• Document creation skills (experience using MS365 or G suite)

Preferred qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of large trucks and body construction
• Work experience at a car importer, car dealer or body manufacturer
• Language skills: Japanese (N1 level equivalent), English (daily conversation/business level)
