Our client is a leading company in automotive technology innovation, focusing on the development of high-precision automotive parts and systems. We specialize in utilizing "Level 4" autonomous driving technology to support long-distance logistics in Japan. We provide customized solutions using cutting-edge technology and are dedicated to improving quality control and production efficiency. We are advancing the project to realize trunk transportation services with autonomous trucks, combining the comprehensive power of a major Japanese trading company with AI technology.

Responsibilities

We will be responsible for developing a Level 4 autonomous driving system using trucks. We will be building new vehicles and mass-produced vehicles to advance research and development, improving them, and adding equipment. Since autonomous driving is built by collecting parts from various companies, procurement is important. We will be responsible for contracts and purchasing while formulating specifications, designing, reviewing, prototyping, etc. with the cooperation of external partners both in Japan and overseas.
Main responsibilities:

• Understanding the specifications of procured items
• Examples of target components: Cameras, LiDAR, Radar, GNSS/IMU, ECU, communications, power supplies, etc.
• Negotiating contract terms with business partners (specifications, price, delivery date, terms of trade, etc.)
• Contract management (price, delivery date, quality, payment, etc.)
• Creating a purchase agreement
• Developing new suppliers (domestic and international)

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, physical or mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience
• Experience in purchasing contracts and management of vehicles and in-vehicle products
• Practical experience in production management and logistics operations
• Understanding of road vehicle safety standards
• Business level communication in English
