- Responsibilities

As a key driver of business success, you will play a vital role in strengthening and enabling business success through developing and improving processes run on our tool sets at customer sites.You will be responsible to understand our customers’ needs, and provide process support and subsequent implementation with alignment with BUs to ensure we deliver service and value to meet even exceed customers’ expectation.
Main responsibilities:- Evaluate, understand and identify current customer needs, while also anticipating future needs and building long-term sustainable relationship and solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure relevance of technical information used by internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand and build long-term innovative global technology systems that enable enhanced customer relationships.
- Ensure communication vehicles, e.g. telephone, email, and presentation, etc. are able to facilitate efficient and consistent customer follow-up.
- Drive continuous improvement of the customer experience through team, process and support tool development.
- Drive and manage new product installs and subsequent process development.
- Projects manage new evaluations and ensure success of the project.
Example of the work responsibilities:- FPE needs to lead NPI project as the window person between the business and customer with help from on-site FSEs and colleagues overseas.
- Final goal is to make customer happy and build trust in company itself, and in him/herself, for customer to purchase the company's tool set.
- FPE needs to be patient to work with customers and colleagues and continues to communicate with those people to achieve the goal.
- Mainly two types of work is needed:
- 1.) Work in clean room
- To explain tool operation to customer
- To lead trouble shooting as a leader not only in process, but also in hardware and software by getting help from colleagues.
- To collaborate with colleagues, teamwork is highly required
- 2.) Work in the office
- To track the progress of NPI, New Product Installation, and HVM project in all aspect and report to stake holders
- To attend customer meeting and lead the conversation, make the minutes, and provide answers to customer questions
- To hold internal meeting to provide solutions to issues customer has
- Frequently, Teams meeting or face to face meeting needs to be set to have team’s corporation, here teamwork is highly required
- To analyze technical data and provide explanation to customer
- To make technical presentations with easy-to-understand format & content
- To report lesson & learnt from NPI work in appropriate timing
- To obtain necessary information from colleagues, even if colleagues are not responsive. Patience and reminding are key words.
- To report issue solving progress to colleagues for reader to understand the situation clearly, for example, describing who is helping, what gates the issue, when it will be solved and the next action plan.
- To respond to customer’s e-mails and calls promptly as possible. If the answer is not obtained at the time, to respond when we can provide the answer.
- Requirements

Minimum requirements:
- Speak Japanese fluently to capture technical detail precisely
- Ability to communicate in English
- Masters Degree or PhD in an Engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years of broad technical experience and deep business perspective preferably in the Semiconductor / Capital Equipment industry
- Familiar with epitaxial CVD and/or ALD technology
- Familiar with high complexity low volume environment.
- Proven success in building collaborative partnerships with customers and internal organizations
- Experience in managing strategic programs with high level of visibility
- Strong industry experience managing teams that support complex instrumentation, applications and informatics by phone and at customer locations.
