Company overview

We engage in marketing and sales promotion activities for imported cigarettes while manufacturing and selling tobacco products domestically in Japan. Alongside providing smoking products, we also dedicate efforts to developing smoking cessation support programs and new smoke-free alternatives. We aim to consider the health of smokers while fulfilling our social responsibility. Additionally, we work on providing information about tobacco regulations and health risks, conducting business activities with consideration for public health.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

• Support execution of the corporate communications and public relations plan.
• Engage and pitch compelling stories on the company's transformation, smoke-free vision, science and innovation, sustainability, diversity and inclusion and other key themes to the media.
• Support the management of crisis and issues to mitigate the reputation of the company.
• Prepare media launch and story editorial calendar.
• Prepare summary reports including measurements of PR activities and programs.
• Maintain media list.

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree
• 3-4 years of professional experience with proven records in Communications, Journalism and Public Relations.
• Experience in working with other functions; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing.
• Relationship with key media and bloggers
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
• Verbal and written Communication skills in both Japanese (fluent/native) and English (business level)
