Responsibilities

• Structure all product related work in regards to function, quality, cost and timeline 
• Coordinate the work packages of Development and ensure timely decisions in Core Team and Extended Team 
• Create transparency of the Sub-team progress and ensure proper reporting 
• Ensure customer requirements and confirm feasibility (related to product functions) and create lists of requirements/specifications for purchased components and submit to project buyer 
• Conduct functional analysis/ Design-FMEA (incl. list of critical functions) 
• Ensure availability, validation and release of prototypes and coordinate all related activities (e.g. with internal or external prototype shops) 
• Ensure creation, reconciliation, approval and tracking of the design verification plan (DVP) and validate product design accordingly 
• Initiate and verify simulations 
• Create an engineering change documentation 
• Ensure fulfillment of product requirements under adherence of the customer list of requirements and the integration of known lessons learned 
• Conduct design reviews and release design and drawings 
• Approve procurement release and initiate mass production of purchased components 
• Validate pre-series parts and review customer-validation-parts 
• Identify design and functionality risks 
• Clarify patent and license issues 
• Support gap analysis 
• Put the documents related to the Domain deliverables in EasyDMS

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from university in Japan or overseas 
• Engineering background 
• Detailed knowledge in design and validation of products 
• Very good communication skills 
• Very good intercultural skills 
• Team player 
• Travel (domestic / international) 
• Japanese：Business 
• English： Business
